A Midsummer Night’s Swing at Lincoln Center
Thursday, July 10th
We in Dreamland have a reputation for favoring obscure, sometimes sordid, but always slippery rooms.
Well, here’s one for all you “high-hatters” who’ve been waiting for us to graduate to a respectable uptown address.
And a rare opportunity to convene with us "under the stars".
For more information, please visit www.lincolncenter.org.
11-piece Dreamland Orchestra plays from 7:30 – 10 pm Damrosch Park at Lincoln Center 62nd St. Between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues $15 for one-day dancefloor pass. Free for folks remaining outside the dancefloor area.Annual Bastille Day Street Festival and Petanque Tournament
Sunday, July 13th12-4pm - The Sextet
5-8pm - The 11-Piece Orchestra
Smith Street becomes a true Parisian Thoroughfare once a year, and it is blocked off and covered with 10 tons of sand for the world's largest Petanque tournament, (the French spin on Bocce). Piping-hot Merguez, ice-cold Stella Artois on tap and plenty of Ricard annisette are the staples. And for you dancers, the street becomes so slick next to the pomme frites stand that it becomes just as good as any waxed parquet dance floor . All this and the exquisite sounds of the Dreamland Orchestra. We recommend dressing to beat the sun; straw hats and sunblock are the perfect accoutrements for this day.

Jazz-Age Lawn Party and Festival on Governors Island
As featured in The New Yorker MagazineSaturday and Sunday, September 13th and 14th 10 am to 7 pm
Michael Arenella and His Dreamland Orchestra invites you join us on this hidden gem just off the southeastern tip of Manhattan, nestled in the heart of majestic New York Harbor.Due to the past successes of our Jazz Age Lawn Party, our event has expanded to a two-day-long festival this Summer (June 7th and 8th) and Fall.(Sept, 13th and 14th)
Under a shady grove of centuries-old trees, caressed by fresh sea air, a sprawling green surrounded by historic officers’ quarters and 18th century naval ramparts becomes the setting for a true Gatsby affair. Widely anticipated by flappers, sporting gents and tiny tots alike, this event has been featured annually by The New York Times.
In addition to Michael Arenella’s 11-piece Dreamland Orchestra which plays both days, special guest performers will be joining the program, who will be announced soon.br/>
